Quick Apply Full-time 19 hours ago Full Job Description Mortgage Credit Anayst Position Summary Sierra Mortgage Capital, LLC is a Houston, Texas based closed loan mortgage conduit that acquires ITIN loans from approved correspondent sellers nationwide.
We have an immediate opening for a self-motivated, detailed orientated individual.
This individual will be responsible for the underwriting, processing and QC tasks related to our residential mortgage loan portfolio.
This qualified candidate must be able to perform all duties associated with the department and provide support to our staff.
This position will be responsible for reviewing loan files to make sure the loans meet our underwriting guidelines.
The Mortgage Credit Analyst gathers necessary documentation and prepares the loan package to be reviewed and sent to a loan purchase review committee.
This individual will work closely with the credit team lead.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Books new loans into our Core Loan System Prepares new loan files and scans into our Loan Imaging System Reviews Mortgage Credit Files Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned and may assist other related departments as required by business needs Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including Word and Outlook, and knowledge of Microsoft excel is required Proven ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding business matters.
Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, and information retention.
Must be a proficient communicator and listener, as well as strong organizational skills.
Self-starter, ability to work independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed.
The ability to make sound decisions.
This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing Company's exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions.

Education & Experience BA/BS is preferred / High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2 years' experience as a junior level underwriter, loan processor or credit analyst.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
