The Finance team at HPE provides world class decision support driving profitable growth and exceptional shareholder value through our commitment to operational excellence, people development, and innovation. We provide accurate and timely financial information meeting the company's regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities with unwavering integrity. This role is positioned in the US Controllership Team as part of the Region Controllership Organization. Its two main focus areas are around ensuring the integrity of the US financial statements through sound accounting and controls, and preparing full year and long-term profitability forecasts. This role collaborates with partners across several finance functions and is also a trusted business partner to the operating segments and global functions, helping to enable the company's strategy, while building necessary controls and reporting around it. The successful candidate will have strong understanding of US GAAP, have a track record of building and maintaining robust internal controls, and will possess solid FP&A/forecasting skills.
Job Description:
Participate in US Balance Sheet Review to ensure accounts are properly stated and reflective of underlying business transactions, help build quality analytics, and drive controls Partner with the business finance, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting (EFR) Teams in driving HPE's business strategy, often proposing / designing the necessary accounting and building robust controls and reporting around it Prepare quarterly US country Income Statement full year forecasts based on business and transfer pricing drivers Prepare 5-year US profit projections Partner with Corporate M&A Accounting Team to ensure accuracy of the financial statements of acquired US entities Provide analytics and information to the Income Tax Accounting Group in support of their tax provision and tax return preparation efforts Lead the quarterly SOX reviews of key US entities to ensure and demonstrate integrity of financial statements Run important compliance processes for the US, including contingency reporting and policy compliance checklists, and provide necessary inputs for various financial statement footnote disclosures Education and
Experience:
BS Degree in Accounting required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed or eligible At least 6 years of accounting experience, with strong US GAAP knowledge, Strong P&L Forecasting and FP&A experience Experience tracing the flow of accounting transactions through various systems and assessing their final impact on the financial statements Fundamental understanding of the structure and content of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement and how to interpret them Relentless curiosity to understand balances, fluxes, and transactions and ability to explain them concisely Ability to collaborate across functions to assess complex business transactions and solve problems Experience in a large multi-national company What we can offer you:
