We are seeking an eager, customer focused, team oriented Senior Application Design Engineer to lead and deliver control projects to customers Role Purpose Provides engineering support or leadership for projects; Works on challenging issues where analysis of situations or data and may require an evaluation of intangible factors. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions, estimates or results. Supervises the Technical execution of projects made up of both local and international employees. Role assigned to Schneider Electric Houston TX office. Initial assignment to include up to 1 year onsite in central Texas supporting onsite engineering. Technical Skills:
Develops Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for advanced applications/deliverables. Strong domain expertise e.g.:
continuous control, batch, sequential and/or other. Can develop functional diagrams, logic diagrams (hybrid) and control narratives/sequence of operations. Strong industry & process knowledge, may have specific industry domain expertise, e.g. Power Generation, Refining, Pulp & Paper, Automotive (for hybrid), etc. Strong process control tuning skills. Strong application trouble shooting skills. Conducts limited process automation studies related to customer automation problems and proposes & creates solutions. Leads customer projects with a team of technicians and engineers. Contributes to design and implementation of complex integrated customer projects combining several technical application fields. Develops functional design details. Reviews and approves FDS. Detailed understanding of how to apply applicable Industry Standards to the Automation Platform application and consult solution to the customer (IEC, UL, CSA, NFPA). Travels to customer sites and leads site efforts (locally or remotely) until the project is complete. Gives direction to Schneider Electric personnel for site activities. Can delegate tasks to Schneider Electric personnel to complete site activities. Face to face interactions with the customer and other 3rd party vendors and reports to PM when scope changes are defined Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical or Electrical preferred) - Minimum of 5 years of experience with Distributed Control systems - Experience in architecting, constructing, and integrating the software applications and networking systems for process automation. - Project experience with the following areas of project engineering:
functional and detailed specifications, systems development, implementation, testing and commissioning.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
