Electrical Manager

Locally oversees all aspects of the electrical department, but not limited to, office and union personnel, budgets, P&L reports and event production. Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships. Act as liaison between Freeman and related unions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Oversee Freeman Electrical operations on a branch level. Enforce company policies and procedures and see that they are carried out on a daily basis. Work with director to ensure that employees are hired, disciplined, appraised, trained, coached, and mentored as required. Maintain solid relationships with local convention bureau, convention center, hotels, customers, and internal personnel. Ensure all jobs are completed in an effective and cost-savings manner. Attend necessary industry functions. Approve purchase orders, payables and credit memos. Approve all staff expense reports. Approve travel of all employees according to company travel policy. Oversee proper administration of department payroll controls. Conduct meetings with staff to review schedules, implement programs, and coordinate inter-department activities. Review and analyze job cost sheets. Review weekly payroll reports. Review and evaluate all entries of P&L. Ensure that department maintains appropriate training and safety programs. Report commissionable sales figures for hotels, halls, and show management to corporate accounting by end of month. Assist with electrical union contract negotiations and grievances as necessary. Accurately prepare annual department budget and submit to corporate management by deadline. Prepare capital expenditure list and submits for approval. Review long range job planning and assignments with department heads Check insurance reports on a quarterly basis and reviews all claim reports. Perform other duties as necessary. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications. Knowledge of the accounting systems is a plus. Experience with production venues and/or showsite. Ability to understand financial statements and company job cost system. Ability to effectively manage and motivate employees. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Understanding of O.S.H.A. requirements. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Travel Requirements Travel up to 25%
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
