Basic Function The Tax Manager will be responsible for the US Federal tax compliance function, including working with third-party vendors, and components of the US Federal tax provision process. The manager will also assist in tax related planning projects and audits as needed. The manager will lead a team of direct and indirect reports. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Tax Compliance Americas. Roles & Responsibilities Management and review of the US Federal tax compliance function, including review of all book to tax differences (e.g., Fixed Assets, Capitalized Interest, Inventory, Compensation, Deferred Revenue, 163(j), DISC, Other deferred liabilities, etc.) Management and review of the annual US Federal tax compliance process, including review of the US consolidated Form 1120 and related schedules and disclosures, including coordination of international forms, and management of 3rd party vendors including furnishing of data and discussion of tax technical positions. Review of US partnership tax returns Form 1065s including review of tax basis. Manage and review quarterly income tax computations for financial statement and management reporting:
Current and deferred US income tax calculations. Inventory of US deferred tax assets and liabilities. Return to provision true-ups and documentation. Monthly US cash tax forecast. Review of FIN 48 positions. Regularly seek to identify and drive process improvements within areas of responsibility. Provide integral support to Tax Counsel team for income tax audits as needed. Write technical tax research and compliance memos. Maintain advanced knowledge of federal tax concepts and current developments. Assist in special projects and strategic tax planning as necessary. Provide coaching and training to team members and direct reports including interpretation of tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements. Clearly communicate issues, opportunities, and solutions to Tax leadership and other groups. Min. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Master's degree (Tax, Accounting, or Finance) and/or JD Minimum of 8 years related experience/training; combination of public accounting and/or public company experience; CPA preferred. Demonstrated expertise in US tax compliance, consolidated returns, and related processes. Advanced technical knowledge of US federal income tax concepts including Subchapter C. Knowledge of US international tax and state tax preferred. In-depth understanding of US GAAP tax accounting principles. Demonstrated excellent project management skills and the ability to strategize and prioritize when working on multiple deliverables. Highly accountable with proven ability to work independently and through team members, think critically and solve problems, and make decisions exercising sound business acumen. Strong management skills in coaching direct reports and other team members. One Source Income Tax Compliance, SAP and OneStream experience are an advantage. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
TaxEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
