Basic Function Candidate will review and provide guidance for the various technical projects of the Global Technology Operations team. This position will be a technical track and not have any direct reports, rather focus strictly on technology to the LYB environment and strategic partnership relationships. The role will work closely with leadership to uncover opportunities to apply technology, provide technical oversight on projects, and be the principal technologist for their area of expertise. The position will perform technology oversight with strategic partners, in addition be the go to technical expert for their area of expertise. The role will provide strategic advice and guidance to the functional team(s) and requires an in-depth understanding of the current technology footprint and capabilities including technology roadmaps across the enterprise. Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience; this individual is in a position to influence, guide and direct senior IT leaders across the organization, ensuring Global Technology Operations is equipped, able and executing in ensuring business objectives are met. Roles & Responsibilities Maintain broad technology breadth with the ability to define solutions that span IT vertical boundaries. Work closely with infrastructure architecture team to design and document complex systems, focusing on operations and security as they fit into the LYB environment. Research, design and implement new tools to enhance IT value to the business. Regularly meet with key strategic partners and identify new potential partner relationships that enhance IT ability to enable the business. Identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiency. Collaborate as a senior technical member of the Global Technology Operations team and maintain big picture perspective to ensure project alignment across groups. Build technical vision for the Global Technology Operations team with a 3-5 year roadmap; included by not limited to servers, storage, virtualization, application deployment, workstations, core systems infrastructure, and end point security. Accountable for all LYB IT computer rooms across the globe. Act as the Global Technology Operations technical liaison to interface with Network, Security, Application Support and team stakeholders to ensure roadmap alignment. Participate in Global Technology Operations team projects at various levels depending on specific area of expertise. Attend technical design meetings and project funding request meetings to ensure infrastructure / business projects are aligned with Global Technology Operations supported infrastructure. Provide technical project and architecture documentation. Act as mentor to junior team members and participate in knowledge transfer activities. Attend training and maintain relevant industry certifications. Leading the design, planning, coordination, and governance of the annual strategic technology planning and operational planning processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve program and project milestones within established timeframes. Ensuring long-term projects are executed in an efficient, cost-effective and diligent manner, removing obstacles and impediments to ensure business and operational objectives are met and driving clarity amongst stakeholders. Partnering with senior IT leaders to establish a strategic and operational framework used to craft short and long-term objectives and key results as well defining the vision and roadmaps. Organizing and coordination of necessary financial strategic partner(s) support aligned with strategic priorities and business objectives, including financial reviews, budget planning and funding discussions. Managing all aspects of culture and engagement projects, including activities designed to foster associates well-being and engagement aligned with the company's culture and values. Applying expert analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve prioritization, increase agility in decisions, improve ability to evaluate progress towards business outcomes, and to evaluate risks to strategic goals. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
