Data Visualization Engineer at LyondellBasell Industries in Houston, TX
Basic Function The Data Enablement team, as part of the Data and Analytics Center of Excellence, is responsible for driving Self-Service Reporting & Analytics, Enterprise Data Models, and building Data Products that support the democratization of data across the company. The Data Visualization Engineer is a core member of the team responsible for establishing and propagating processes for business users to access data using Analytical tools to build and deploy value driven business solutions. Roles & Responsibilities Design and develop dynamic reports and interactive visualizations using Power BI from multiple data sources Power BI Tenant Administration including the configuration of governance policies, usage monitoring, anomaly detection monitoring, provisioning of licenses, capacity management, and performance optimization of resources Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded like Power BI service or API automation Publish and schedule automated refreshes per business requirements Train business users to build reports, dashboards and connect to data while also providing visual best practices and design guidance to achieve data-driven decisions using Power BI Min. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline 3-5 years of hands-on experience in design, developing and supporting dashboards, data visualizations, and self-service tools with continual evolving complexity Strong skills to design and develop attractive and engaging data visualization and user experience using Power BI. Proficient in Power BI, DAX functions 2-3 years in PowerBI Tenant Administration Ability to setup and automate Power BI platform related activities using scripting languages like PowerShell/Python/Shell scripting etc. Experience in implementing row level security on data in Power BI Strong foundation and thorough understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Marts and general ETL Concepts Report and dashboard performance tuning experience using Power BI. Experience in leveraging Power Platform; Familiarity with MS Power Automate Preferred Qualifications 3
years of experience using cloud solutions, Azure preferred Hands-on experience in developing complex Power BI reports Power BI certification
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
