Position Description & Duties The Strategic Planning Analyst role for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Strategic Planning team at the company's Houston, TX office reporting to the Director, Strategic Planning. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Benchmark quarterly performance versus Peers, supporting customers in Investor Relations, Planning and Corporate Development; Implement and maintain tools to track and assess APA's relative standing within E&P peer group; Support the corporate portfolio process and maintain financial models; Frame possible A&D options to high-grade portfolio; Assist with ad hoc requests from executive and financial personnel, in order to support strategic decisionmaking; Enable process improvement opportunities and projects by understanding the end-to-end processes and bringing your insights and ideas forward; and Working with confidential and market-sensitive data is an important feature of this role. Preferred Minimum Requirements The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and
Experience:
Required Qualifications Knowledge of upstream business, including experience consulting for and/or working with oil and gas exploration and production businesses; At least 3 years of experience working for and/or or with large energy companies that have worldwide assets and operations; A basic understanding of financial modeling with the desire to develop their skills; Ability to prioritize multiple projects and to learn quickly; Effective communicator and able to build relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels of management; and Self-starter with a track record of performance and proven ability to deliver quality results under significant time pressure and to tight deadline. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, MBA, etc); Demonstrated experience and background in FP&A or Banking; Knowledge of corporate NAV models; Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Applications; and Experience with Factset and Bloomberg.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
