In this role, you will become a Financial partner to the Surface Americas Materials Manger, providing guidance on forecast, budget, and cost control. In addition, you will also be responsible for financial reporting and internal controls around inventory and fixed assets for Surface North America Job description Assess, develop, and review control procedures as it relates to US and Canada inventory, assets, and costing. Lead in ensuring compliance with financial principles, policies, procedures and standards for compliance to US GAAP, IFRS, legal, statutory, tax and corporate requirements for inventory and fixed assets. Trains and manages Operations Accounting Team. Daily operational support to field locations. Develop monthly and adhoc managerial reporting. Coordinates budget and forecast for inventory and fixed assets. Review and approve all capital expenditure requests. Assist field and asset management team in preparing and submitting capital requests. Audits fixed asset processes including cycle counts, useful life, capitalization policy and idle assets. Perform quarterly asset impairment analysis. Help lead inventory reduction and control initiatives. Oversees inventory physical counts, participates in large or high risk counts. Responsible for annual cost roll and monitoring standard costs for parts. Work with supply chain on decision of commercial versus internal purchases. Participate in Sales and Operations Planning to ensure proper purchasing of inventory and assets. Business partner to inventory control team, asset management team and product lines. Reviews monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Coordinates with auditors as necessary. Identifies issues needing further review and/or attention and proposes resolutions. You are meant for this job if Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of seven years accounting experience, and four years cost accounting experience. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel). Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to design process improvements to correct broken processes. Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve complex, non-recurring problems. Demonstrated leadership/supervisor ability and experience building relationships with operations/management. Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of management and peers of various backgrounds. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
