IT Senior Buyer at FMC Technologies in Houston, TX

The IT Indirect Global Sourcing & Procurement organization is looking to hire an IT Senior Buyer who is equipped to support in the drive for excellence to contribute to the strategic initiatives around Early Engagement, Cost Reduction, Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic suppliers within the IDS (Information Digital Services) scope. You will provide complete P2P cycle support and contact with suppliers for proposals, contract negotiations and contract life-cycle management. Job description The ideal candidate will understand corporate objectives and strategy, and work across multiple IDS domains and cross-functional departments. The candidate will have 10
years' experience in procurement, sourcing in SaaS, Software licensing and applications, cloud-based services, hardware, network infrastructure. In addition, the right candidate will have advance contract and negotiation skills. Develop sourcing strategies for IT global central procurement activities. Additional responsibilities include:
Collaborate to conduct RFI's and RFPs. Manage high spend - complex IT supplier contracts. Perform market review and contract analysis. Foster relationships with stakeholders. Lead supplier negotiations. Coordinate with Legal on contract review and support in commercial contract modifications. Maintain contract status 180 days prior to renewal timeframe. Indirect cost reduction activity (strategy, analysis, negotiation; target and schedule achievement). Daily activity and support for supplier quality, delivery (Responding to daily requests, issuing Purchase Orders, managing open order). Ability to receive and analyze information (cost evaluations, commercial issues and strategic sourcing). Continuous development of skills and performance.
