Program Support Assistant

Duties include but are not limited to:
-The incumbent is responsible for analyzing the administrative workflow and patient flow within GMHC and MFT, working with the Program Director to establish and develop operational procedures to ensure proper functioning of organizational components. -He/She is also responsible for establishing and maintaining necessary controls, such as overtime information and purchase card spending, to supply system management with desired information for effective financial management. -Monitors patient access performance metrics, and works with administrative staff to ensure timely scheduling of appointments. -The incumbent reviews proposed directives to ensure proper arrangement, format, consistency with existing directives, as well as the proper distribution. -The incumbent receives visitors and telephone calls to the work area regarding medical and non-medical needs, patient appointments, and medication. -Duties also include preparing and coordinating reports for the MHCL or program leadership, grant proposals and research for assigned MHCL programs; administrative correspondence for the assigned program. -Performs work involving the collection, compilation, and development of tracking mechanisms for data and statistical information in support of MHCL program operation. -Incumbent is responsible for staying up to date on changing times within the health care community. -Incumbent is responsible for timekeeping duties for all full-time, part-time employees and contract employees under the assigned MHCL program T&Ls. -Serves as the ADP Coordinator (ADPAC) for the section. Submits electronic User Access Requests (UARs) and functions as a first point of contact liaison between OI&T and the section. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
experience with timekeeping, scheduling, drafting research communication materials, emails and reports to include experience with clinic cancellations and rescheduling and experience with Microsoft Office as well as VA Programs such as CPRS, VISTA and VSE. This experience must be supported by your resume to be creditable. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
