Well-established real estate Management Company, specializing in the management of commercial office buildings and retail centers, seeks an experienced full charge bookkeeper to handle all financial matters as well as being responsible for the general administration of office operations. This is an interesting and varied role. We are looking for an outgoing candidate who learns quickly and works well under minimal supervision. You must be a self-starter, independent and enjoy problem solving. You must also possess excellent customer service skills.
Reporting to the Owners/Broker, this position is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of all books and records, from the books of original entry to General Ledgers, Trial Balances, Balance Sheets and Income Statements for approximately 50 entities.
Our priority is to find an employee with top-notch bookkeeping and office management skills, strong Skyline Property Management software experience and a positive, team player attitude. The ideal candidate will have 5 years bookkeeping experience working with multiple entities, the ability to handle a heavy workload while maintaining professional demeanor and proactively solving problems and/or independently handling issues. Real estate background is desired but not essential. 10 years of experience is optimal. Excellent communications skills, both spoken and written are a must; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. A candidate who is a Public Notary, or is willing to become one, will have an advantage.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Bookkeeping
General Ledger, account maintenance and analysis, Journal Entries, etc.
Bank Reconciliations
Liaison to independent auditors
Monthly, quarterly and annual reports and payment
All aspects of Accounts Payable, from ascertaining the accuracy of vendor invoices to cutting the checks
Progress-payment tracking for capital projects
Interfacing with commercial bank personnel and officers
Handling payroll (paid through a payroll company), some taxes and government reports
Verifying the accuracy of mortgage payments supported with amortization schedule
Payment of Texas Real Estate Taxes
Analysis and reconciliation of escrowed mortgage real estate, insurance and reserve tax payments
Reconciliation of Lease Security Deposits
Office Management
Help the Broker of the office in regards to establishing priorities and identifying and resolving problems that are administrative in nature. Use independent judgment to keep supervisor informed of all matters that require his/her attention.
Serve as the liaison to various internal and external constituencies, including screening correspondence and telephone calls; keep the broker informed of all matters requiring his/her attention.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide a wide array of administrative, clerical, and basic bookkeeping support services for management in support of agents and staff.
Scope of duties will include agent relations and customer service assisting with monthly reports and some assistance with accounts payable and receivable.
In charge of calendaring of schedules and meetings, ordering supplies, maintaining files and records, preparing reports on a computer. All common administrative and clerical functions and responsibilities and may also include answering phones and updating directories, preparing correspondence and communications

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
