Provides IT Support to users by assisting them with hardware and software questions and trouble shooting problems as necessary: fielding telephone calls and e-mail messages, seeking guidance on technical problems, diagnosing nature of problems, and assisting users through problem solving steps. Coordinates activities of third party IT Providers.
Responsible for diagnostic, troubleshooting, and resolving information systems problems so as to minimize down time of applications and personnel.
Install computers, software, and peripheral equipment, following procedures and using hand tools.
Is required to be adept in the activities of third party vendors and in the systems supervised so as to recognize, identify, diagnose and isolate problems with computer hardware and software. These vendors include:
3rd party programmers
VOIP and Cellular phone providers
ISP's across multiple locations
Hosted email, ERP and video conferencing
Primary support tasks include, but are not limited to
Receiving requests from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software;
Talking to user to learn procedures followed and source of error;
Applying knowledge of computer software/hardware, and procedures;
Determining cause of problem; research the problem and find the most appropriate solution.
Works with vendors to explain software errors, to recommend changes to programs, to request service and to make routing service changes.
Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and reliability
Creates and updates user training manuals and procedures.
Trains users on software and hardware on-site
May conduct office automation feasibility studies including work flow analysis, space design, and cost comparison analysis
Good communication skills, and possess knowledge on operations of most business equipment and computer software (Microsoft) programs, IOS, LAN, WAN, Sonic Wall, Aerohive, Google Chrome
o Technical Support - Help desk
o LAN and WAN technologies
o Active Directory and other Microsoft server technologies
o iOS, SonicWall and/or Aerohive experience a big plus
BS, BA - Computer Automation, IT

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, outdoor activities to include seasonal shifts in temperatures and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
