Senior Process Engineer

A leading renewable energy technology company at the forefront of sustainable innovation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Through this company's technology, they are able to produce an array of renewable energy products including but not not limited to hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and sustainable aviation fuel.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct process simulations using Aspen/HYSYS or similar software, and develop specialized modeling tools tailored to the technology system.
Execute process design, equipment sizing, data sheet creation, systems engineering, and PFD/P&ID development.
Collaborate with process controls specialists to craft DCS control narratives and system logic narratives.
Participate in hazard analysis, operability, and constructability reviews.
Review and contribute to proposals.
Lead projects and liaise with clients and client engineers.
Work with project managers to meet schedule commitments.
Assist in selecting third-party engineering service providers and conduct engineering reviews.
Provide technical support for detailed engineering, commissioning, and plant operations.
Utilize and enhance design methodologies for the technology system.
Support the growth of intellectual property related to the technology.
Develop and maintain design procedures and tools.
Aid in developing operating guidelines and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Energetic and able to motivate team members.
Proficient in engineering workflows and project delivery.
Strong process engineering skills, including PFD, PID, sizing, modeling, and technical oversight.
Skilled in revision control and problem-solving.
Familiarity with various processes such as fluidized beds, biomass conversion, and carbon capture.
Experience with thermal integration of process technologies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proposal/report writing.
Desired experience in plant operation and client interaction.
Required
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10-15 years of related experience.
Proficiency in AspenTech programs (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and other process simulators.
Familiarity with drafting software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam) preferred.
Additional formal training in HAZOP, HAZID, Project Management is advantageous.
EPC experience is beneficial.
