Lummus Technology is currently seeking a talented and driven candidate for a Senior Process Engineering position for our Technology Engineering team in Houston, TX. This position will work in a collaborative team environment and will be responsible for the process design of multiple plant systems in one of more technologies. In addition, this position will act as a lead engineer and will oversee small studies or projects and will also be responsible for scheduling and estimating process design work efforts.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Under minimum supervision, perform detailed process design calculations and process design simulations. Prepare equipment and instrument data sheets. Prepare process flow diagrams and piping and instrument flow diagrams. Leads various activities related to the process design of specific process units and supervises work efforts on small projects and proposals. Train less experienced engineers in the use of process tools and procedures. Oversee the quality of the deliverables provided by process team members. Review design work of other process engineers as needed. Participate in start-up and technical service field assignments as required. Creating new or improving existing technologies (i.e., file patents); Creating new or improving work processes for better execution efficiency; Publishing or presenting technical papers at an industry forum. Present at conferences and trade shows, customer meetings, and internal training sessions. Clearly communicate technical knowledge to others including colleagues, management, and customers. Uses the principals of Quality as an integral part of the work process. Perform other assignments as required. Basic
Qualifications:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Requires 6 to 10 years of experience in process engineering. Strong working knowledge of engineering computer tools such as HYSYS/Unisim simulation software or similar systems. Desired/Preferred
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Field experience in startup, commissioning, performance testing and troubleshooting is a big plus. Demonstration of customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs while achieving project and corporate objectives. Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology and manage technical and commercial risks. Proven ability to lead and coach team members. Proven ability to work with minimum supervision. Company Overview:
