Responsibilities:
Work closely with cross functional teams to reverse engineer legacy product and develop requirements specifications.
Provide innovative and robust electronic design solutions to match or better performance of existing designs.
Analyse legacy circuit design and work to understand theoretical performance constraints.
Review and critique electronic design solutions developed by other team members.
Work with internal colleagues as appropriate to transfer the electronic product design to manufacturing.
Creation of design verification documentation and execution of design verification against captured requirements to prove designs have met specification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or related subject, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in mixed signal electronic design (with a bias towards analog electronics).
Strong practical experience in developing analog interface electronics for sensors in low noise/high gain applications.
Strong Analog design experience with operational amplifiers, transformers and discrete solutions Practical experience in board brings up and debug using appropriate tools and techniques.
Strong and versatile technical problem solver.
Experience of design for signal integrity and EMC.
Experienced in the use of simulation tools (LTSpice, Pspice, etc.
) Practical experience in the use of Schematic capture and PCB layout design tools (preferably Altium) DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
Previous experience of developing electronics for high end Scientific Instrumentation Understanding of embedded system design Understanding of digital signal processing techniques Electronics development for hazardous areas Multilayer PCB layout experience.
