Senior Design Engineer (P&ID)
Confidential, Houston TX, United States of America Confidential Houston TX Contract First Point Group is looking for Oil and Gas / LNG Design engineers to join our clients in Houston Texas.
Are you passionate about leading a dynamic team of designers and drafters in a cutting-edge engineering environment?We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisors to provide operational guidance and technical expertise for our blue chip client.
As an Engineering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the work of a medium-sized group of designers and drafters.
You will be responsible for ensuring efficient project execution and meeting project requirements Assigning lead roles and determining staffing needs and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
Administering and directing designers and drafters in the preparation of layouts, study drawings, and detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models.
Supporting the development of work plans and schedules, estimating material quantities, design deliverables, and staffing needs to achieve project milestones.
Supervising the preparation of material requisitions and bid evaluations while maintaining compliance with relevant codes, engineering practices, and design standards to ensure exceptional quality and safe plant operation.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and Must be proficient o International design standards including IEC and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
o Microstation, SmartSketch, S3D is required.
o Demonstrated proficiency and experience in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) is required.
o Demonstrated experienced reviewing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) is requiredo Proven experience in project engineering and design, preferably with a focus on layouts and 2-D/3-D CAD models.
In You must A degree in the relevant fieldStrong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with project engineers, supervisors, and clients.
Familiarity with equipment suppliers and technical specialists in the field.
