SUMMARYThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for supporting leaders and employees with a wide range of HR initiatives, operational processes and procedures, tactical issues and employee relations efforts.
The HRBP builds positive working relationships and acts as a contact for leaders and employees within the assigned client group.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day HR support to the Performance and Essential Materials staff groups and Manufacturing with a focus on the Longview, Washington location.
The position will be based in Houston, Texas and will require periodic travel to Longview.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
Develop and maintains knowledge of company systems (Workday).
HRIS database super user and contact for employees, supervisors, management Counsel managers, supervisors and employees on various human resources activities to include policies and procedures, benefit plans, job-related concerns and issues, interpersonal relationships with peers and supervisors.
Advise and assist functional leaders, plant managers and supervisors with employee relations issues, complaints and terminations.
Ensures progressive discipline policies are administered fairly and consistently.
Participates in labor relations activities, manages grievances, serve on Labor and Grievance committees.
Coordinate staffing requests with management.
Develop job descriptions, initiate job requisitions in Workday, and post jobs for available positions.
Recruits, interviews, tests and selects salaried and hourly employees for client group.
Coordinate the recruiting process by dispositioning candidates, scheduling and coordinate interviews; schedule assessment of candidates (as necessary) and prepare and make offers for positions; hire candidates into Workday and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive impression of business unit.
Oversees the administration of the salary and hourly compensations programs to ensure compliance and equity within the client group for union and non-union members.
Oversees the administration of vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and other employee related reports requested by management for union and non-union members.
Prepares new hire and termination documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine termination reason.
Represents organization and employee related hearings and investigations.
Manages company sponsored events and programs such as community outreach and service award banquets.
Coordinates client group training with client group and human resources management.
Ensure proper recordkeeping and reporting is maintained consistent with company policies and processes.
Utilize HRIS systems and Applicant Database to keep accurate records and files Conduct human resources related training.
Provide monthly headcount report and metrics for the Plant Manager's review.
Run bi-weekly payroll, as a back-up to the Payroll Administrator.
Any additional duties and tasks as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
SHRM or HRCI certified professional preferred.
A minimum of 3-7 years of progressive HR experience.

years' experience in a generalist/functional role with exposure to labor relations, compensation, performance management, and training.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience in an HRIS is preferred; ability to learn new databases and applications is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.
Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
Travel including air travel or auto travel is expected once a month.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
