SR. Software Developer/Architect
A large oilfield services company in the Greenspoint area of Houston, Texas is looking for a Sr.
Software Developer/Architect.
This person will be the sole onshore software developer/architect for legacy application migration projects and other large web application projects for different lines of business within the company.
A majority of the projects this person will be working on is implementations, integrations, and migrations of web applications to microservices and/or the cloud.
On a daily basis this candidate will be working with developers, product owners, and other cross functional groups to create proof of concept solutions, understanding/analyzing current application infrastructure to propose/develop solutions based on requirements, and being hands on when need be for any devops/development related responsibilites.
Overall, about 60% of this role will be solution/software architect related responsibilites and the other 40% of this role will be hands on related responsiblites when a project needs it.
This person will also need experience creating/implementing APIs and a strong understanding of virtual machines and CI/CD pipeline infrastructure.
This role will require this person to be local to Houston or willing to travel onsite a few times a month until a RTO plan is in place.
