Remote Network Design Lead
An employer in Downtown Houston, Texas is looking for a Network Design Lead to join their team.
This person will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the clients Internet Protocol (IP) voice, IP video and wireless data services.
The candidate must have hands on experience with installing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links.
The day to day will consist of configuring networks to ensure their connectivity so there is a smooth and reliable operation to fulfill business objectives and processes.
This person will also be responsible for analyzing current network infrastructure to plan and oversee upgrades and enhancements and provide management with short and long term network capacity needs.
This position requires extensive knowledge of MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, LLDP, IS-IS, OSPF, MSTP, and MP-BGP.
The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to partner with different groups and individuals on the team.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringExtensive experience in network engineering or designing and implementing networksJuniper Networks certification(s) at the Expert level (JNCIE-ENT, JNCIE-SP)Cisco Systems certification(s) at the Professional level (CCDP, CCNP, CCSP, CCVP)Cisco Systems certification(s) at the Expert level (CCIE)10
years of hands on computer networking experience5
years of experience working in computer or service provider networking (think Verizon or AT&T)Programing or scripting experience to help automate processes.
