Description Gexa is actively looking for a motivated, team player with strong communication skills to serve as a Senor Business Analyst, Process Solutions & Reporting.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes and requirements to define best practice solutions that improve accuracy and reduce inefficiencies.
The position is located in Houston, TX.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for taking a leadership role to create a custom solution with a detailed understanding of internal processes; this includes process definition, SLA creation and implementation, streamlining and ownership Will serve as project leader as needed, ensuring business requirements are met and implemented Develop and maintain business requirements, functional requirements and design specifications Assist with creating test plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing with business owners Have an understanding of the systems and processes to ensure that one effort does not negatively impact other systems / processes Produce required operating procedures and train other users as needed Function as the Subject Matter Expert as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience 8 or more years of progressive business solutions experience preferred 7
year's experience with utility deregulation, familiarity with market rules, protocols, procedures, and market structure for retail competition desired.
Both ERCOT & Non-ERCOT Utilities preferred Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to effectively execute responsibilities while managing changing priorities Strong project management skills to lead a project to successful completion and within budget Proven experience working cross-functionally, facilitating meetings and driving indecisive team members to make decisions Produce quality work products on time and able to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to work on multiple projects, in different states of completion, at one time Must be self-sufficient, self-starter and requires minimal supervision; seek out appropriate resources to answer questions and find best, not most obvious solutions Capacity to formulate action plans from unstructured or ill-defined work processes Strong technical, analytical, investigative and organizational skills Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills Strong work history of medium and large scale projects Access or SQL experience preferred Qualifications High School Grad / GED:
