The Lead Engineer will work within a dynamic, fast paced, global design team for the Mechanical Development Engineering team in the execution of programs including new product introduction (NPI), new technology introduction (NTI), reliability and maintainability (RAM), direct material productivity (DMP), and customized requisitions.

Responsibilities:
In addition, you will:

Work on clean slate projects for Aero derivative packages to develop innovative designs that exceed or meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost, maintainability and manufacturability :
Collaborate with cross disciplinary functions like CADD, Electrical, Controls, Systems and Specialist teams to execute programs :
Work closely with the technical lead, principal, and chief engineers to support mechanical design activities for NPI / NTI (New Product / Technology Introduction), Cost Reduction and Reliability programs :
Design piping systems, hydraulics systems and perform flow loss calculations :
Read, interpret and develop pressure / flow and instrumentation diagrams, piping assembly and fabrication drawings; as well as work with 3D parametric models :
Maintain product line standard drawings and bill of materials :
Design and build prototypes and test procedures for new technologies :
Benchmark competition to support development of the product requirements with technology team :
Collaborate with cross functional groups including Applications, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Field Services :
Conduct conceptual / preliminary / detailed design reviews for your programs with the chief engineering office :
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures :
Coordinate project tasks and schedule :
Support any issues in the shop during the fabrication/assembly phase for your design Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university :
Minimum 3 years of related work experience Additional Eligibility
