Main
Responsibilities:

Defines problem statement for specific projects.
:
Develops engineering solutions to stated problems.
:
Develops the DBM (design basis memorandum) and FEL (front end loading) design.
:
Develops detailed design or manages a third party EPC (engineering, procurement, and Construction) company for the development of detailed design.
:
Ensures that the project is fit:
for:
purpose.
:
Proposes a project budget and tracks progress of spending.
:
Assists in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
:
Monitor and check performance to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, regulations, and contractual obligations in meeting project objectives.
:
Coordinates with the appropriate plant engineering personnel for field / construction management for the projects.
:
Manages project engineering schedules and budgets.
:
Coordinates and checks engineering deliverables from third party engineering companies.
:
Manages change orders to the original design.
:
Accounts for the successful completion of engineering projects.
Basic
Qualifications:

S.
degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
:
A minimum of 5 years of previous project engineering experience in a chemical/petro:
chemical industry.
:

Engineering license or certification is a plus.

Understanding of batch manufacturing processes is a plus.

Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
:
Ability to work with other functions (marketing, sales, SH and E) within Nalco Champion.
