Aquatics Lead Associate (The Woodlands)
POSITION
Summary:
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, promoting all aquatic programs, events and activities designed to meet member needs.
Assist in developing swim lesson classes and instruction programs Assist in enforcing policy and procedures for all aquatics personnel Assist in coordinating and participate in ongoing aquatic continuing education and training Assist in ensuring aquatic shifts and instructional classes are on time and covered at all times Assist in analyzing weekly program numbers Ensure cleanliness of aquatics areas.
Continual inspection of pool for proper functioning (preventative maintenance) Assist Aquatic Supervisor in compiling and monitoring Aquatic payroll and revenue within POS System Maintain and improves club knowledge Uphold and adhere to all club and department policies and procedures Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 16 years of age.
Vast knowledge of present successful industry aquatic program trends and programs Advanced knowledge of standard anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology Understands and utilizes aquatics and fitness industry gold standards and bench marks Strong background in the aquatics and fitness industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational Must be able to perform aquatics activities and programs Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of weights of 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing and balancing around club Must be able to exert physical mobility and properly use aquatic rescue equipment to rescue a 200 pound person.
Have physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform essential functions of the job description.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing and balancing around club.
Work environment may require prolonged exposure to the outdoors including direct exposure to sun and extreme heat.
