We have an immediate need for three QA Analysts for a long term contract for QA Analysts for Houston. This contract will last a minimum of six months with a possibility of extending two years.
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst position will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans and strategies to help ensure the delivery of quality software applications. In doing so, this position will be heavily involved in requirements analysis, test planning and execution, and test reporting.
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will help ensure that system processing and functionality conform to documented requirements and meets the needs and expectations of the users. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to aid in validating code changes through systematic test execution and will work closely with the development organization. The qualified candidate is capable of defining, implementing and training on structured test methods to perform various types of testing.
Job description/expectations
Lead the test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery. Develop effective test strategies. Write moderately complex code to test systems. Work with development teams to develop a testing culture. Drive adoption of unit testing, metrics to monitor code coverage, bug prevention strategies, and other quality measures. Demonstrate intuition and knowledge about how to break software by finding bugs, and apply this knowledge with measurable result, impacting the quality of the product Strong command of software testing principles and experience participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. Lead the QA test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery. Analyze requirements to assess completeness and testability. Provide timely feedback and constructive recommendations to the Business Analyst. Perform comprehensive test planning activities, including developing effective test strategies. Own the creation and delivery of testing artifacts, including test Plan, project specific test strategy, risk assessment/mitigation plan, detailed test cases/test data, defect reports, and final test summary report. Perform various types of testing, including but not limited to the following: application, integration, Back End data validation, usability, performance/stress, and regression testing. Demonstrate intuition and knowledge about how to break software by finding bugs, and apply this knowledge with measurable results. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in the debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure correctness of all functionality. Identify discrepancies/inconsistencies and perform root-cause analysis as needed. Manage encountered defects through resolution. Collaborate with development engineers and business analysts in the resolution of encountered defects. Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to work on complex issues. Exercises strong judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Track and distribute testing results, status, and metrics to the project team on a regular basis to assist in making solid go/no-go decisions. Work with the Project and Support teams on all assignments to drive governance of established standards to meet quality objectives. Ability to identify & communicate project risks as they are uncovered throughout the QA test cycle. Communicate/document test results through creation of Test Summary Report upon completion of test execution. Assist in the planning and facilitation of User Acceptance Testing as needed. Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team. Strong attention to detail. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or other related field.
Experience:
7
years of relevant work experience in building testing frameworks, tools and automation within a large scale enterprise environment Knowledge of Internet technologies. Coding skills in C, C++, Java or Python preferred Recent performance/load and functional test automation experience. Prior experience testing an integrated, large scale implementation required. Proven ability to handle and resolve conflicting opinions without compromising relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working with and understanding business processes, flows, and functionality. Experience testing custom developed apps. Experience working in an agile environment a plus. Experience as a lead tester on a large scale or complex implementation a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
