Excel VBA developer

JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY): A developer needs to create multiple macros in order to copy and paste the data from multiple spreadsheets to one. Also each spreadsheet is heavily embedded with various financial formulas, and macros should be able to run these financial calculations behind the scene so that a user could only see the result in the spreadsheet. Also, it is in need of macros that can move the data from excel spreadsheets to Access database. Development activities should be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to all company development standards. The ability to communicate with both business users and IT professionals is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Create macros to automate moving and formatting data.
- Create macros to run financial formulas behind the scene.
- Add notes to all the macros that explain what each command does in the macro script.
- Increase efficiency in generating reports from Access Database.
- Review, discuss and work within agreed timescales and feedback to managers any variances arising as tasks are performed.
- Understand client business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to solve problems and improve efficiency.
- Understand architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes.
- Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.
- Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems.
Financial Knowledge
- Experienced in asset management industry helpful
- Experienced in option pricing, swaps, and future helpful.
- Reporting
Reports
- Experienced in generating reports in various format in Access
Functional Area Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Experience supporting and integrating custom applications with vendor packages and solutions.
- Previous call center and/or transfer agency work experience a plus.
- Knowledge related to transmission methods such as NDM, FTP/SFTP or SDE.

- Microsoft BizTalk, Informatica
FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- A Bachelor's Degree
- Years of comprehensive experience in building macros from the beginning.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
