Position Overview
The Vessel Designer/Drafter will design / draft ASME Section VIII Division 1 pressure vessels.
Essential Job Functions
Draft pressure vessels utilizing specification sheet and customer supplied data
Consult with clients to discuss technical information
Review job specifications and requirements and be able to implement requirements into vessel design
Design/draft pressure vessels optimizing Code requirements and regulations
Create general arrangement and production drawings
Create bill of materials for vessel drawings and material purchasing
Review drawings for quality and accuracy
Work cooperatively with other company departments - sales, estimating, production, quality control
Other Job Functions
Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in design /drafting of ASME pressure vessels
Associate's Degree-Drafting Technology or formal technical training and/or certification desirable
Must have working knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1
Must be knowledgeable in AutoCAD
Programming skills a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
