Senior Legal Counsel
The candidate will provide legal support to the Operations Group, including Procurement. Will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to projects managed by firm. Drafting, negotiation and placement of purchase orders and subcontracts. Advising project managers and contract engineers/managers on legal issues arising in the course of project execution. Legal support to projects for handling contentious matters (e.g., major VOs, settlements, major claims and termination events). Follows status of projects, assist with contract management and contract claims (clients/vendors). Assists to arrange appropriate insurance for projects. Reviews bank guarantees, corporate guarantees, other documentary credits. Assists project managers/contract engineers with contract interpretation. When applicable, assisting with JV and Consortium matters during project execution. Obtains and arranges local advice as necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
